The journey from Sri Lanka to Singapore and finally to Australia was filled with obstacles. Aruni faced cultural adjustments, homesickness, and the pressures of academic life in a foreign country. After her graduation, she gained valuable experience working at the Langham, Melbourne, and is currently serving as an Accommodation and Reservations Manager at Zen Luxury Retreats in Darwin, Australia.
Aruni is an accomplished professional with 18 years of diverse experience in the Tourism & Hospitality industry across five different countries. Currently serving as the Accommodation & Reservations Manager at Zen Luxury Retreats in Darwin, Australia since 2021, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills.
Prior to her current role, Aruni held various positions in prestigious establishments, including four years as an Inhouse Sales Manager at a luxurious 5-star hotel in Melbourne, Australia, where she excelled in driving revenue and exceeding targets. She also gained valuable experience in Banquets and F&B management at the same hotel.
Her international experience includes a year as a Guest Relations Executive at a renowned 5-star hotel in Singapore, followed by a year as a Senior Holidays Consultant in Dubai, UAE. In Qatar, Aruni served as a Senior Tourism Consultant at a leading travel agency for three years, contributing significantly to the company's growth and reputation in the Middle East.
With a strong educational background, Aruni completed her Bachelor of Tourism & Hospitality Management in Australia in 2019, complemented by a Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Singapore in 2016.
