Student pass application requirements and processes, enrolment procedures, English proficiency requirements and documents required

Application Process

  • Submit Application & Pay Enrolment Fee (Day 0)

  • Receive Letter of Offer (Day 1-3)

  • Receive VISA Application result (Day 17-31)

  • Endorse Contract & Pay Tuition Fee (Day 24-38)

  • Make Travel Plan & Report to School (Day >38)

Preparatory

Prepare the students to join the Singapore Government education system.

 

Diploma

Programme of about 1000 hrs. Aim to equip student to be a professional.

 

Degree

For student who wish to further their study and be an expert in the field.

 

English

Equip student with English proficiency needed in either work place or study.

Informing students that they are not permitted to engage in any form of employment or industrial attachment paid  or unpaid without a valid work pass issued by Ministry of Manpower

Students with Student Pass are not permitted to engage in any form of employment, be it if it’s full time or part time, paid or unpaid.

 

The only exception are for those courses that has ‘Industrial Attachment’ as part of the programme. For those courses, student are allow to work only during their allocated schedule for ‘Industrial Attachment’

It is important for international students to know the laws of Singapore. Below shows what to avoid:

 

  • Loitering and congregating

  • Unlawful assembly

  • Alcohol consumption are not allow for < 18yo

  • Smoking are not allow for < 21yo

  • Vaping

  • Shoplifting

  • Vandalism and mischief

  • Possessing dangerous weapons

The tuition fees, non-tuition fees and any other relevant fees payable to Academies Australasia College and modes of payment

Advisory Note and Student Contract must be signed before payment can be made

Fees payable consist of Application Fees, Tuition Fees and Non-Tuition Fees.

Application Fee - Paid on application, together with the application forms and supporting documents. This fee is non-refundable.

Tuition / Non-Tuition Fees - Paid after receiving ‘In-principle Approval’ (IPA) of Student VISA. Student can only pay after signing Student Contract & Advisory Note.

This fees are refundable as in accordance with the student contract.

After receiving the Student VISA result, our consultant will go through the clauses of the student contract with you. In general the Student Contract consists:

AAC has appointed Lonpac to be the insurance agent. All course fees paid will be insured by this agent.

The FPS serves to protect the student's Tuition fees in the event the PEI is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure.

 

Academies Australasia College adopts the Fee Protection Scheme Group Insurance with effect from 19 August 2021 and has appointed Lonpac Insurance Bhd as the provider of all policies taken.

Students brief on Medical checkup & Personal / Medical Insurance requirements

Checkout

Once students reported to School, student service will arrange student to go for a compulsory medical checkout with the designated clinic.

 

Insurance

All our students are protected with a Medical Insurance. This insurance coverage for the students’ hospitalisation, surgery and treatment costs throughout their course duration.

 

Students can opt out of the Medical Insurance scheme if they have their own coverage, and are required to submit a copy of medical insurance policy.

General health care services in Singapore

Singapore has an efficient and widespread system of healthcare by worldwide standards. There are different types of health care facilities which ranges from government to private health care facilities.

 

  • Government Hospitals (Public Healthcare that provides subsidised inpatient healthcare services)

  • Private Hospitals (Not government owned)

  • Polyclinics (22 polyclinics located throughout the country that provides subsidised primary care, outpatient medical treatment, preventive healthcare and health education.

Academies Australasia College Refund Policy and Procedure

To execute the refund policy, students have to complete the ‘Refund form’ and forward it to the Student Services Department.

Academies Australasia College Transfer/Withdrawal/ Deferment Policy and Procedures

Withdrawal

Students have to formally apply for withdrawal by submitting ‘Course Transfer, Deferment or Withdrawal form’ to the Student Services Department.

 

A copy of the withdrawal letter will be given to the students upon successful cancellation of the Student's Pass by the Student Services Department.

 

Transfer

A Transfer is when a student transfers from one course to another within the same College. Upon transferring, the Student Contract of the previous course is terminated and a new Student Contract is executed. For student pass holders, the current student pass will be cancelled. The success of the transfer would also depend on the approval of the new student pass by ICA.

 

To execute the Transfer, student have to complete the ‘Course Transfer, Deferment or Withdrawal form’ and forward it to the Student Services Department.
